WHAT WE DID
Together as a group we arranged a sponsored abseil, shoot and fire to raise funds. This sponsored event was held in memory of Orrin Walker, who was a young member at 19th Durham for a number of years. Sadly Orrin is no longer with us and the chosen charity for Orrin was YoungMinds – The Voice for Young Peoples Mental Health and Wellbeing, registered Charity No. 1016968.

MORE ABOUT THE DAY
The abseil was down a purpose built 40 foot wall and was open to anyone who wanted to support the group and raised the minimum £10 sponsorship. Money from the abseil went directly to the charity. All abseiling, shooting and archery was led and supervised by fully qualified instructors.

The rifles required a consent form to be filled in by parents for young people taking part and also by parents for themselves to have a go.

Refreshments were available for the duration at a very small fee, and light bites (cakes etc) also on sale.
