What a long and difficult year we have had for scouting. After starting the year in lockdown and commencing our meetings on Zoom, we have slowly seen the restrictions lifted for scouting moving from the Red readiness level right through to Green. Unfortunately we went back to Yellow in early December which was expected due to the Covid-19 cases rising.

Over the past year we have still managed to achieve a lot. Collectively as a group we have managed to provide programme for 94 young people across Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers. We have also managed to provide 16 additional experiences outside of our normal meeting nights which included our group wide Bonfire Night, BBQ and Fireworks. We even managed to award a staggering 360 badges.

All of this is supported by a fantastic team of 27 adult volunteers, some of which dedicated their time while completing various university courses in the City, working full-time and missing loved ones. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to to award some of our adult volunteers with long service awards and even a Medal of Merit for Mrs Sue!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our young people, parents and carers for your support over the past year in what has been a very challenging period for everyone.

Finally we would like to say publicly, THANK YOU to each and every one of our adult volunteers and young leaders for the determination to provide the best opportunities they can with the current situation. Thank you for being there, thank you for providing our young people with Skills For Life!

Merry Christmas & All the best for 2022.
